Telecommuting and Work at Home Jobs
How do you start telecommuting from home? That is the question I get a lot when people find out I work from home. Although I make the majority of my money from writing and multimedia work, there are lots of other ways of earning money online.
Fiverr is a site that offers gigs for five dollars. I have just added three gigs that I thought was fair for $5. One is to write a book review 100-250 words, another is to install a wordpress cms on your server and the third is to install a new theme on your wordpress site. Check it out along with what others will do for a fiverr.
Mystery shopping is real and not just a scam. You just need to know where to look and not paid someone to link you to employers. Other types of work include User Testing, Blogging and Micro-Work.
Next to art, mystery shopping is actually one of my favorite “get out from behind the computer” ways of making money. Some of my favorite companies include Market Force, Trend Source and EPMS. Don’t except a quick turnaround on money with mystery shops. Most pay monthly, some longer than that. But, I think they are starting to come around. Trend Source actually pays twice a month.
User testing sites consist of quick and easy money. But they are competitive. You have to be quick to get there first. The normal pay is $10 and will usually take you 10 – 15 mins or less to complete. If you want sign up go Website Usability Testing and UserFeel. The money is pretty quick, usally within seven days.
Blogging is a great source of income once you get established. There are sites that will pay you to blog such as Review Me along with other sites that pay revenue for traffic such as HubPages. Review Me will pay you to write reviews for companies and post them on your blog.
Hubpages has a high reputation and will pay you for traffic generated. Quality hubs are important; Google will penalize the site for bad content and the community does watch and will report anyone that is out just to make a buck with light weighted content. Having said that, if you are new to blogging there is lots of help available and HubPages has a great community to learn from. If you want to sign up go here.
